As always, begin your potting
session by sterilizing your cutting tools. Remember to sterilize before each
plant. This Oncidium is growing over the
edge of the pot and is ready to be repotted. |
Squeeze the plastic pot all
around to loosen the plant. It should easily lift out. If not, use a lever to gently pry the plant out of the pot.
If the Oncidium is in a clay pot, use a knife or lever to free the roots and
remove the plant. |
Although this plant is
overgrown, the roots are in pretty good condition and there is a nice new
growth. It should establish itself quickly in its new pot. |
